Hello friends.... My name is Jess and I'm the owner, guide and certified wine dork of Farm to Glass Wine Tours.  If you've made it to this page and are reading this - it's because you're a big fan of the wines from Hillside, just like I am.

You know what that also means?  Is that you're into wines that are thoughtful, hand crafted, farmed in a sustainable way and more importantly... taste damn good.  Well that's what Farm to Glass Wine Tours is all about!

So basically you're awesome.... and awesome finds awesome so I would like to extend to you a very special discount on any of my Farm to Glass Wine Tours if you plan on coming and visiting beautiful Naramata Bench, or any other wine region in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valley as I offer over 13 tour options (including a half day sail, half day wine tour).

These aren't just ANY wine tours, they're wine adventures and they include EVERYTHING.... well except the amazing wines you might want to buy!  Tasting fees, water, snacks, lunch, a hyper-local goodie bag as a thank you for choosing to wine tour in a sustainable way and $10 for every guest gets donated back into the communities that are visited that help in various ways.

Wine tasting has never been so good, right?

Alright.... it's story time now so perhaps go pour yourself a glass of wine before you continue on.... go ahead.... I'll wait.

...

Ok here we go:

You never forget your first trip to the Okanagan.  Well... we wanted to forget the white knuckled drive on the 97c between Merritt and Kelowna but that's not this story.

Hillside winery will always have a small piece of my BC wine heart - as it was the first winery I ever visited, on my very first visit to the Okanagan back in October 2017.

A "girls' trip" as a matter-of-fact!  A weekend away to experience a "Day in the Harvest" that I had won at a fundraising event that had the two of us spend a day picking Riesling and doing punchdowns in the cellar at a neighbouring winery.  (see pictures at the end)

It turns out that picking grapes and making wine is really hard work! (I know this now but I really had no clue back then).

So with our newly sore and achy bodies we thought the best way to loosen up - was to obviously go wine tasting.

And you never forget your first....

.... winery.

Because there's wine tastings... then there's wine experiences - and that's Hillside.  We kept tasting wine after wine and loving them all so we walked away with a case and my first wine club membership.

It was my real beginning of my love and passion for BC wine - and I have Hillside to thank for that.

Fast forward to today, my passion for BC continues but in a more thoughtful and sustainable way.  So it is to no surprise that my connection to Hillside keeps burning strong as it is one of the handful of certified vineyards and/or wineries by the Sustainable Wine Growing BC (SWBC) and the ever talented winemaker, Kathy Malone is a Committee Member of the association.

Great people + great farming = great grapes = great wines.  I love wine math.

And as always….

Be Kind, Drink Wine

xoxo Jess

And here's a few pics from that trip in Oct 2017... including the drive!
