Connecting Guests to Farm to Glass Wine Tours

Hey there, this is Jess from Farm to Glass Wine Tours.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  when we support each other, build on the already beautiful community and show off all the amazingness that our region has to offer, everyone wins!

If you're reading this - you might be curious into maybe collaborating for the 2025 season.  So what I thought I would do is give some insights to what I thought our collaboration could look like.  There's a bit of info here so I'll just jump into it - let's go:

I thought first it would make sense to have a good and detailed overview of what I'm all about.....

FARM TO GLASS WINE TOURS FACT SHEET FOR ACCOMMODATIONS

~Season Starts May 1st until Oct 31st, 2025~

“This is the wine tour that your guests have been waiting for…..”

Eco-Savvy.  Elevated.  Exquisite.

Fun Facts about Owner and Guide, Jess Hopwood (me!):  I used to be a flight attendant for a billionaire and worked on luxury yachts.  I'm trained like a butler and that's the service I give, but in a more casual way.  I call it elegance without the stuffiness.

I don't call myself a sommelier, but my education is like one... I'm more of a "certified wine geek" and you can see my accreditations at the bottom of my email.  I’ve even gone to school for viticulture.

I take a lot of pride in knowing what guests want, before they know they even want it.  Here’s a link to my bio:

Plus:

  1. Farm to Glass Wine Tours:  is the only 100% fully sustainable, eco-wine tour in Canada.  It sources all products, food, etc as hyper-local as possible.

  2. Full Day and Half Day Tours ranging from 3-5 winery visits - guests can choose their departure time for half days to help maximize their time on vacation

  3. I can accommodate up to 4 guests - but also can work with another fabulous wine tour operator and to accommodate groups of up to 10.

  4. BRAND NEW:  Sustainable Sip & Sailing and Wine Adventure in collaboration with Winds of Change Expeditions in Naramata, BC.  This runs June to September.

  5. Guests get unlimited sustainably packaged water, local and Canadian sourced snacks, lunch is sourced from all local businesses in the South Okanagan. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated and if someone is celebrating a bday or anniversary - I like to surprise guests with extra treats.

  6. Tastings are always the most premier option and are always included in the price of the tour... there are ZERO extras unless they want to buy wine.

  7. Wine is temperature controlled as the vehicle's AC is always on (this is great for wine collectors)

  8. They have the option to dine at a restaurant for lunch and in fact I give them a partial refund on the tour if they choose this option.

  9. They CAN choose wineries that I don't list, it's not a problem at all.  There are a few that might have a slight additional fee (like Checkmate) but honestly it wouldn't be much, if any.

  10. I do service all wine growing regions, even the Similkameen (which I highly recommend to offer to guests if they want an amazing adventure)

  11. Often on Naramata tours if they're staying in the area, I can fit up to 6 wineries if they're game when they book the full day tour.  Without any price difference.

  12. I have amenity kits with EVERYTHING:  forgot your sunscreen, lip balm, need Advil, Pepto, are you hungover, nauseous, dehydrated, feminine hygiene products, bug repellent, etc etc... I got it.  I want my guests to feel the best and if there's something I can do to help that I will do it.

  13. They get a thank you gift for choosing to go on a wine tour in an eco-friendly way.  Though this gifts will change for the 2025 season as I often get repeat guests,  last season’s consisted of all women-owned small business from various areas of the Okanagan like:

  • a reusable produce bag from The Market Bags in Kelowna (this is the gift bag)
  • 375ml baby bottle of bubbles from Nagging Doubt Winery
  • spices and a doodle recipe card from Aman of The Paisley Notebook of Kelowna
  • pickles from the Pickle Princess of Naramata, Dixie-May Kunicky
  • a card to gift to someone else made by DebbyStamps of Lake Country
  • a garlic based ready to prep sauce by BC Buds Garlic of Vernon, BC
  • a brochure of Naramata General Store for their wine club
  • Cute custom stickers
  • This is about a $50 value of fun things for your peeps!

Lastly, for every guest $10 goes back to the community and gets donated to Foundry Penticton for youth mental health services, SOWINS or Klipper’s Community CSA program for families in need in the Similkameen.  I've donated almost $3000 back into the community so far.

Wine tasting has never been so good, right?

Bonus:  I have to keep a couple of tricks up my sleeve, they change every season to keep it fresh and exciting.   In previous years it's been things like nitro cold brew and cold teas or custom fans that guests get to keep.

So now that you know about what I'm all about - this is my idea the how we could have fun and collaborate this season:

  1. I would add you to my "Where to Stay" Page - and when my newsletters are sent out each month this page will always be featured.
  2. I will have a feature "where to stay" social media post once a week and you would be on the feature rotation.
  3. Your guests will get a special 15% discount of all full day and have day tours (except the Wine and Sail where the discount is 10%) - I don't offer more than 10% on my website so the 15% is very special and unique for your guests.
  4. I have paper brochures that I can have delivered to your accommodation for the beginning of April.
  5. Below is an image of an e-brochure example that you can print or forward to your guests in anticipation of their stay.  It would have your custom promo code on it.
  6. You would receive email updates once every two weeks from myself in regard to my open availability for the upcoming weeks to keep you in the loop and give your guests first dibs on my availability.  These will be short and sweet - just to keep you informed and set everyone up for success.
  7. The new rewards/incentive program!  I'm excited to be starting this program to say thanks to you for helping me get fabulous guests for my tours this season.  This is new and I am building it as it goes with more details to come but the foundation of it will run like this:
    1. Each month there's a booking there will be reward points tracked
    2. If there's more than one booking there, rewards points per booking will increase (so the more bookings per month, the more points earned!)
    3. These points can be redeemed for a variety of things like:  Rare wine bottles, gift certificates, concert tickets for local events, private wine tours for you/friends/family, custom BC wine apparel or the option for me to create custom apparel for your business (my new business venture).
So that's me and my vision for the 2025 season so please let me know if you'd like for me to set up your customized promo code for your guests!

And if you have any questions about anything at all, please reach out.  I'm always happy to help.  There's a quick contact form below if you want to drop me a line.
