Naramata, BC on June 1st, 2024 - The #1 and #2 Tours in Naramata on TripAdvisor officially collaborate and launch the first of its kind, Sustainable Sip & Anchor Wine & Sailing Adventure! Winds of Change Expeditions and Farm to Glass Wine Tours are proud of the launch of sip, swim and sail half day wine tour + half day sail, right in the heart of Naramata.
"This is the most excited I've been about any new tour launch! I wish I could clone myself and be a guest. I can just imagine doing a few wine tastings, grabbing some great Naramata Bench wines and getting dropped off on a beautiful sailboat in the village of Naramata - sign me up!" said Jess Hopwood, Owner and Guide of Farm to Glass Wine Tours. "We are very excited about offering our sailing with the amazing sustainable Okanagan wine tours that Jess offers. Who would have thought that randomly meeting at Wayne & Freda Cafe in Penticton one fall morning would 6 months later lead to this exciting new tour!" said Robyn and Dan Hines - Owners and avid sailing guides of the 46ft Sailing Yacht named Anam Cara which in Gaelic means a devoted companion: a friend that relies on the experiences of equity, silence, wit, fierce kindness, recognition and belonging.
Running from June 1st to September 15th, this new and exciting adventure takes place on Fridays through Mondays.
Discover the wineries of the Naramata Bench and its picturesque vineyards, followed by a sail along the Naramata shores of Okanagan Lake. This seamless blend of wine tasting and sailing magic ensures a day where every sip and every drop of an anchor is a masterpiece of unforgettable memories.

Begin your day sampling the best local wines, before setting sail from the charming harbour in the village of Naramata. This unique experience blends the flavours of exceptional wines with the tranquility of sailing, promising an unforgettable day of indulgence and relaxation.
The wine & sailing adventure includes:
- Pick up and drop off: From any hotel, campground, residential, AirBnb location between Vernon to Osoyoos as well as Cawston and Keremeos
- Luxury Transportation: in a Model Y & The Anam Cara, a 46ft Hunter Sailing Yacht
- Private Estates: Certain locations are not typically open to the general public and/or tour groups, and you may be at times, the only ones on the property.
- Quality Wine: Tastings at small, family-owned wineries from a list of some of the region’s most exciting producers.
- Sailing Activities: Paddleboarding, swimming and of course, sailing!
- Lunch: Picnic lunch of your choice, served onboard The Anam Cara. (Dietary restrictions can be accommodated)
- No Hired Drivers: A professional and knowledgeable company owner as your host.

Typical Itinerary would be the following:
- 10am: Winery Tasting #1
- 11am: Winery Tasting #2
- 12pm: Arrival at pickup, tender out, safety and orientation
- 2pm: Anchor up, swim and/or paddleboard
- 4pm: Return to pick-up location, disembark & farewells
- 4:30pm: Winery Tasting #3
The Sustainable Sip & Anchor Wine and Sailing Experience is available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from June 1st until Sept 15th, 2024.
Please note that while the wine tasting experience is a private tour for up to 4 guests, the sailing portion of the experience may have other guests, to a maximum of 6 guests total + your hosts Robyn and Dan.
Cost: $799 for 2 guests - $1124 for 3 guests - $1299 for 4 guests - (options for the sail to be private is available)
Who can come sailing?
- Guests must be able to move about a sailboat, walk, balance and climb a few steps on a ladder into and on the sailboat, possibly from the dinghy or the water, if swimming.
- No sailing experience required, beginner sailors are welcome!

Dan has a keen interest in the traditional navigation practices of the Pacific and applies this learning to discovering an inner wisdom and courage.
Robyn is an avid sailor, has Sail Canada cruising certification, is a 500 hr yoga instructor and loves to teach breathwork and meditation practices.
